How can a destination wedding travel consultant help us compared to planning on our own?
As your destination wedding travel consultant, I bring firsthand expertise, local knowledge, and insider connections, saving you hours of research and reducing stress. I handle everything from venue sourcing, scouting and booking, travel logistics to guest accommodations, allowing you to focus on enjoying the process while I take care of the details.
What services do you provide for a destination wedding, and how involved are you?
I provide complete travel planning, from finding the perfect venue and booking group accommodations to arranging airport transfers and organizing group activities. I’m also your guests’ main point of contact, ensuring all bookings are done through the group rate link assigned for your event, answering questions and sharing up-to-date travel information.
How do you help us choose between different venues or destinations?
I begin by understanding your wedding vision, style, and budget, then curate a list of three destination and venue options with pros and cons for each. I can arrange site visits or virtual tours, share past wedding experiences, and provide insights to help you make a confident choice.
How far in advance should we start planning our destination wedding?
For a smooth experience, I recommend starting the planning process 12-18 months in advance, especially if you have your heart set on a popular destination. This timeline allows us to secure your preferred venue, block accommodations, and arrange group rates. If you’re planning a smaller, more intimate wedding, 9-12 months may be sufficient.
Can you help with destination legal requirements and paperwork?
Absolutely. I’m knowledgeable about most tropical destinations’ legal requirements and will guide you through the paperwork and timelines. Whether it’s arranging local officiants or notarized documents, I make sure you have everything you need for a legally recognized wedding.
Do you coordinate group rates or packages for guests?
Absolutely! I work with hotels to secure group rates and perks for your guests. This can include room upgrades or complimentary amenities (not guaranteed) ensuring that your wedding guest have an affordable and comfortable stay.

I oversee every detail of group travel, from individual reservations to creating a comprehensive itinerary. Each guest has personalized support, and I’m readily available to answer questions or handle changes, making sure the travel experience is effortless for everyone involved.
What’s the process for working with you from start to finish?
We’ll start with a complimentary consultation to discuss your wedding vision. If we’re a great fit, we’ll proceed with a contract and payment. I’ll then present three destination and venue options, arrange room blocks for your guest, and assist with additional services, arranging airport transfers, arranging excursions, vendor connections, and guests’ primary point of contact. I’ll be there to support you every step of the way, right up to your wedding day.
Can you help us with both the wedding and honeymoon planning?
Yes! As a destination wedding and honeymoon travel consultant, I can plan a seamless transition from wedding to honeymoon. Whether you’re staying at the same destination or exploring nearby islands, I’ll arrange everything for an unforgettable experience tailored just for the two of you.
Do you arrange welcome events, excursions, or post-wedding brunches?
I arrange excursions for you, your bridal party and wedding guest. For everything else such as welcome cocktail parties, farewell brunches, etc. on the property I leave for your onsite or offsite wedding planner to arrange. I do, however, work with the wedding planners to ensure the excursions do not conflict with any wedding plans such as rehearsals, viewings, etc.

In this line of work, last-minute changes or unexpected issues are bound to happen at some point. I choose to roll with it, pivot as needed and address any issues quickly and in the best way possible.

As a destination wedding travel consultant there is a separate professional planning fee for my services and the time I am dedicating to ensure your destination wedding goes as smooth as possible which comes with a pay in fill or payment plan option.
What makes you different from an on-site wedding coordinator?
An on-site coordinator handles everything on the wedding side (menu & cake selection, time of wedding, décor, etc.) while I’m involved with helping you to choose and book the venue and handle all the travel details for you and your guest and am available before, during, and after your wedding day to support all aspects of the trip.

Do you work with local vendors, and how do you choose them?
